This tamale steamer holds about 3- 4 dozen tamales depending on thickness. The Tamale steamer includes the rack or stands inside. Size: Bottom diameter 11 inches, Top diameter 11 inches, Height is 8.5 inches. The rack inside sits 3 inches above the bottom.

TAMALE STEAMER INSTRUCTIONS

Fill the tamale steamer with water to about half an inch from the bottom of the rack. Stand tamales closed end down on the rack or basket in the steamer. Bring to a boil, then steam over medium heat for one and a half to two hours or till the masa is no longer doughy. Add water as necessary. Take one from the middle and try it to be sure it’s done before turning the pot off.
